North Wales Police thank rescue teams after missing woman found safe

News and Info from Deeside, Flintshire, North Wales

A missing woman named Gillian has been found safe, North Wales Police have confirmed.

The force had asked for the public’s help to find her.

That appeal has now ended.

In an update posted by the North Flintshire policing team, officers thanked the local community for assisting with enquiries, and the wider community for sharing the appeal.

In its statement, North Wales Police said: “Mountain Rescue, NEWSAR and NPAS were a vital part of search efforts and we would like to thank them for their overwhelming assistance.”

NEWSAR, the North East Wales Search and Rescue Team, is a volunteer mountain rescue team that responds to incidents across north east Wales.

The National Police Air Service, known as NPAS, provides helicopter support to forces across England and Wales.
