Cheshire’s favourite family-friendly festival, Deva Fest, confirmed a stellar line-up of comedians set to headline the Deva Laughs Comedy Stage.

Among the heavy hitters are Scouse comedian Paul Smith, Matt Richardson of Xtra Factor, Justin Moorhouse from Phoenix Nights, and the BBC Three and Channel 4 favourite, Tez Ilyas.

Nestled in the beautiful grounds of Cholmondeley Castle, the Deva Fest has become a cultural staple in the North West for its eclectic range of entertainment.

This year’s three-day festival, set to take place from 11th to 13th August, promises not just laughter but an impressive array of musical performances from acts including Will Young, Fleur East, Morcheeba, Starsailor, Five, and Feeder.

The comedy line-up represents a harmonious mix of established names and emerging talent from all over the UK, ensuring a diverse blend of stand-up styles for festival-goers to enjoy.

Notable acts include Danny McLoughlin, host of the Get Onto This podcast, and Brennan Reece, a star of Live at the Apollo.

Philip Marston, the founder of Deva Fest, enthusiastically shared, “We’re thrilled to finally reveal our comedy stage line up and it really is a doozy!

We wanted to make sure we had a mix of comedians, some with more tongue-and-cheek content, and some who can keep things a bit PG – after all, we are a family-friendly festival.”

In keeping with the festival’s family-friendly ethos, steps have been taken to ensure the comedy content is accessible and enjoyable for all ages.

While the material will vary from act to act, appropriate warnings and advisories will be provided to ensure attendees are well informed about the nature of the comedy content on offer.

Beyond comedy and music, Deva Fest promises a wide range of family-friendly activities.

Attractions include a free-to-use fairground, live performers, a circus tent, on-site water sports, and an array of hand-picked street food stalls.

For attendees from further afield, shuttle buses will run all weekend from Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington, Wallasey, and Crewe, courtesy of a partnership with Tuned in Travel.

Free on-site parking is also available for those travelling by car.

Day tickets for Deva Fest are currently on sale, with options for weekend camping and glamping tickets also available.
