Trains from Shotton to Bidston and Wrexham cancelled due to an ‘operational incident’

Trains from Shotton to Wrexham and Bidston have been cancelled this afternoon, Saturday August 13, due to what Arriva Trains Wales are describing as an ‘operational incident’

Details aren’t clear as to why services have been cancelled however no trains are running along the Wrexham to Bidston line.

Trains cancelled so far:

  • 13:30 Wrexham Central to Bidston due 14:30
  • 14:32 Bidston to Wrexham Central due 15:32
  • 15:30 Wrexham Central to Bidston due 16:30
  • 16:35 Bidston to Wrexham Central due 17:36

Arriva say a replacement road service is in operation.

Anyone who has been delayed by 30 minutes or more is entitled to compensation.
