Tom Jones and Nile Rodgers & Chic to play Chester Racecourse

Music icons Tom Jones and Nile Rodgers & Chic have announced an outdoor summer show at Chester Racecourse.

The concert will take place on Friday 14 August 2026, bringing two internationally recognised performers to the historic Chester venue for a single evening of live music.

The event will feature performances spanning decades of hits, drawing on Tom Jones’s long-running recording and touring career and Nile Rodgers’s work as co-founder of Chic and as a producer and songwriter for a wide range of artists.

Tom Jones has been performing for more than 60 years and is known for a catalogue that includes more than 30 UK top 40 singles and global record sales exceeding 100 million. He continues to tour regularly, including large outdoor venues and festival stages.

Nile Rodgers, a Grammy and Lifetime Achievement Award winner, is best known for founding Chic and for his production and songwriting work with artists including David Bowie, Madonna and Diana Ross. His influence spans funk, disco, pop and rock music.

Tickets go on general sale on Friday 30 January at 10am via Live Nation. Preferred tickets will also be available to UK Mastercard cardholders from the same time through the Mastercard Priceless platform.
