Snow and ice could disrupt travel in Flintshire, says Met Office

A yellow weather warning for snow and ice has been issued for Flintshire, with icy conditions and some travel disruption possible from Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning.
The warning, issued by the Met Office, is in place from 6pm on Tuesday until 9am on Wednesday and covers much of north Wales, including Flintshire.
Forecasters say outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow are expected to move north across mid and north Wales during Tuesday evening and overnight into Wednesday.
Snow accumulations of around 1 to 3 centimetres are most likely above 200 metres, although a small amount of snow is also possible at lower elevations.
There is also a low chance of transient freezing rain over higher ground, which could increase the risk of icy surfaces even where snowfall is limited.
The Met Office says some roads and railways are likely to be affected, with longer journey times possible by road, bus and train services. Icy patches may form on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths, increasing the risk of slips and falls.
Sleet and snow are expected to clear from the south through Wednesday morning.
The warning has been classified as yellow due to a medium likelihood of the conditions occurring and a low overall impact, but residents are advised that conditions could change quickly.
