Second bridgestrike of the day sees further disruption on trains between Shotton and Wrexham

Arriva Trains Wales services between Shotton and Wrexham General are experiencing some delays due to a vehicle hitting a bridge, the second bridge strike today.

The A541 Wrexham Road is also partially blocked anf there is slow traffic near to Cefn-y-bedd railway bridge where a lorry has collided with the bridge affecting traffic travelling between Wrexham and Mold.

The bridge strike is the second of the day in the region, earlier a vehicle hit the bridge near Penyffordd station causing disruption to services between Shotton and Wrexham.

Passengers may be entitled to compensation for the delay caused to this journey.
