Police confirm body discovered in River Dee area near Connah’s Quay

North Wales Police have confirmed that a body was discovered in the area of the River Dee today, Tuesday 24 February.

The death is being treated as unexpected while investigations are ongoing.

The coroner has been informed.

Formal identification has not yet taken place.

North Wales Police said: “Our thoughts remain with the person’s family at this difficult time.”

Earlier on Tuesday, Dock Road in Connah’s Quay was closed as emergency services responded to an incident in the River Dee area.

North Wales Police confirmed at the time that emergency services were in attendance from shortly after 8am, and that all road closures connected to the incident were subsequently lifted.
