Overturned lorry closes A55 from junction 27 westbound

The A55 dual carriageway has been closed westbound after a lorry loaded with potatoes overturned.

The incident happened at around 10.45pm last night, Wed May 20 close to the St Asaph junction 27 exit.

A six mile stretch of the westbound A55 from junction 27 is currently closed.

Recovery work has been ongoing through the night, the lorry remains on the carriageway, and has shed its load of potatoes.

The road is likely to remain closed until around 08:30 this morning.

Traffic is being diverted along the A5151 through Dyserth to Rhuddlan, then the A525 to rejoin the A55 at St Asaph.
