North East Wales Search and Rescue responds to three incidents in single day including Wepre Park

Volunteers from North East Wales Search and Rescue were called to three separate incidents on Saturday, including a leg injury at Wepre Park in Connah’s Quay.
North Wales Police and the Welsh Ambulance Service can call out the team following a 999 call from a member of the public.
As well as the Wepre Park callout, NEWSAR responded to a back injury on Moel Famau and assisted a person stuck at Trevor Rocks on the same day.
The team says a full summary of the three callouts will follow.
While some volunteers were out on operations, others attended a Chairs and Trustees Day on Saturday, with a communications training day held on Sunday.
NEWSAR is a volunteer rescue team operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week across Flintshire, Denbighshire, Wrexham and parts of Conwy and Powys.
Founded in 1981 as the Clwyd Rescue Team, the organisation is a registered charity affiliated with the North Wales Mountain Rescue Association.
It costs around £30,000 a year to run the team, funded entirely through donations, grants and fundraising.
