North East Wales rescue team marks Welsh Charities Week

North East Wales Search and Rescue has marked Welsh Charities Week by paying tribute to the volunteers who support emergency services across the region.
In a message shared on social media, the charity said its team is made up entirely of volunteers who are on call day and night to assist in searches for vulnerable and missing people.
“It’s Welsh Charities Week,” the charity said. “This week we’re celebrating the incredible charities that make a difference across Wales — including the volunteers who give their time to help keep our communities safe.”
The organisation said every callout, training session and hour given was powered by community support.
“Here at North East Wales Search and Rescue, our team is made up entirely of volunteers, on call day and night to assist the emergency services in searching for vulnerable and missing people across the region,” the statement said.
The charity added: “Every callout. Every training session. Every hour given is powered by community support.”
North East Wales Search and Rescue said its volunteers are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, throughout the year, responding to incidents across Flintshire, Denbighshire, Wrexham and parts of Conwy and Powys.
Welsh Charities Week is held annually to recognise the work of charities, community groups and volunteers across Wales.
