Last chance for COVID-19 booster and flu jab appointments in North Wales

More than 65,000 people across North Wales have come forward for their COVID-19 booster this winter.
Everyone aged 75 or over, people living in care homes for older adults, and anyone aged six months or over with a weaker immune system are eligible for the vaccine this winter.
This includes older adults who will have their 75th birthday on or before January 31.
Appointments are still available and walk-in vaccination clinics for those eligible will remain open until the end of January.
Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is also urging eligible patients who have not had their annual NHS flu vaccine to come forward as soon as possible.
Community vaccination clinics are taking place across North Wales during January. The clinics operate on a walk-in basis, and no appointment is necessary.
Catch up clinics are also being offered for school-age children who were unable to receive their vaccination before Christmas.
Painless nasal spray flu vaccines for 2 and 3 year olds (age on August 31 2025) are still available from GP surgeries. Children who are unable to have the nasal spray vaccine for dietary, cultural or religious reasons can instead receive an injectable, gelatine-free alternative.
A spokesperson for Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, said: “If you have an appointment but need to reschedule, please follow the instructions on your invitation letter.
“If you are eligible but haven’t been invited to an appointment, would like to book an appointment, or have other queries about your annual NHS flu or COVID-19 vaccination, please contact our Vaccination Contact Centre by calling 03000 840004 or emailing [email protected].”
The contact centre is open between 9.30am and 5.30pm from Monday to Friday. It is closed at weekends and on bank holidays.
