Dock Road in Connah’s Quay reopened after police and emergency services spent morning at River Dee

North Wales Police have confirmed that all road closures connected to an incident in the Dock Road area of Connah’s Quay have been lifted.
The force said emergency services were in attendance shortly after 8am this morning.
Dock Road was closed near Kev’s Tyres during the incident, according to Shotton Town Councillor Mike Evans, who described it on social media as a “large police incident.”
Residents reported seeing a number of police cars and a police dog unit on Dock Road from just after 8am.
The North West Police Underwater Search and Marine Unit was also in attendance.
Flint Lifeboat launched at 8.39am this morning, according to the crew’s website.
It is not confirmed whether the lifeboat launch was connected to the police incident on Dock Road.
North Wales Police have not confirmed the nature of the incident.
