Trains running normally again following earlier distruption between Chester and Wrexham

Trains are running normally again say Network Rail following earlier disruption between Chester and Wrexham.

Earlier Story:

Trains between Wrexham and Chester were  cancelled after a person was hit close to the level cross on Lache Lane Balderton in Cheshire.

Arriva Trains Wales say services running through Wrexham General and Chester could be cancelled and delays by up to 60 minutes.

There has been disruption to services between Wrexham, Shotton and Bidston following the incident.

Coaches have been arranged to take people between Wrexham and Bidston – this will include Shotton.

Replacement bus services have been arranged in both directions.

Disruption was expected to last through rush hour until at least 09:00.

Virgin Trains services are also affected.

There were no further details of the person’s condition.
