Delays on the A55 near Holywell following a road traffic collision

Police are warning of delays on the A55 approaching J32 on the westbound side due to a road traffic collision.
Traffic reports say:

‘A5026 Flintshire – One lane closed and queuing traffic on A5026 westbound between Holywell and Caerwys, because of an accident. Congestion on A55 to J33 A5119 Northop Road’

One lane is blocked and theres slow traffic past the scene – queues are stretching back around three miles with delays of around 20 minutes.

The accident happened just before 11.50am, one report posted of facebook at 12pm by Leanne said:

“A55 westbound. Just after Rhosesmor. A car has had a blow out and is in fast lane. Looks like it has hit crash barrier. 2 people stood on hard shoulder. Look ok. Looks like it’s just happened. No emergency services there yet. Traffic is backed up a couple of miles but passing single file. Police just passed up so on their way.”
