Chester police hunt balaclava-clad suspects after teen robbery

Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Chester in which two teenage boys were assaulted.
The incident happened between 6.30pm and 7pm on Wednesday 28 January on Canal Side, under the flyover of St Oswald’s Way.
Cheshire Police said the teenagers were attacked by a group of youths. During the incident, an automatic pilot watch with a silver link strap and a black watch face was stolen from one of the victims.
Police said one of the boys suffered minor injuries. The suspects were described as being dressed in black and wearing balaclavas.
Detective Sergeant Tom Leathers, of Cheshire Police, said: “Firstly, we would like to reassure members of the public that we are working to trace those responsible, and to aid our ongoing investigation, we would like to appeal to anyone who witnessed what happened to come forward.
“Behaviour of this nature will not be tolerated, and we will take robust action. We will deploy additional officers to the area to deter such anti-social crime and provide reassurance to the community.
