Buckley Jubilee fever rises with new post box topper unveiled
With Jubilee fever building for the past few weeks, Buckley Toppers, in collaboration with the Royal Buckley Town Band, unveiled a jubilee-inspired post box topper.
The unveiling took place on last week, in Buckley’s pedestrian precinct and witnessed a significant turnout from local residents.
The Buckley Toppers, established just over a year ago, has become a staple of the community, meeting every Tuesday to plan and create knitted works that sit on top of post boxes.
Their efforts, they believe, have a wonderful way of bringing cheer and a sense of unity to the town.
In the weeks leading up to the unveiling, the group worked secretly alongside the Royal Buckley Town Band to craft a ‘show-stopping’ piece for this year’s festivities.
Not surprisingly, the topper was met with resounding applause and quickly became a favourite among locals, amassing many admirers and causing a flurry of photographs.
The Royal Buckley Town Band, boasting a strength of over 50 members, promises to make this year’s Jubilee parade on Tuesday, July 11, a grand spectacle.
