Broughton man charged with attempted murder following a collision in Doddleston

A man arrested following a serious collision in Doddleston near Chester has been charged by police.
Paul Rudd was arrested during the early hours of Saturday 7 February following a collision involving a pedestrian and a blue Kia Sportage on Church Road.
The 58-year-old, from Broughton, has been charged with one count of attempted murder.
He is due to appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Monday 9 February.
The pedestrian, a 43-year-old man from Wrexham, was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital where he remains at this time. His condition is described as stable.
