A55 near Pentre Halkyn is back open following earlier accident

Police say the road has now reopened as of 11:59pm:

Earlier Report:

Traffic has been stopped on the A55 westbound near Pentre Halkyn due to an accident.

The incident happened at around 10:30 this evening, Wednesday August 10, unconfirmed reports suggest the accident involves a car and a lorry.

The A55 westbound carriageway is closed from junction 32 and diversions have been set up locally.

Traffic camera’s show people on the carriageway while emergency services can be seen in the background.

Traffic is backing on the westbound A55 back to Northop.

Theres no indication of when the road will open again.
