The A55 eastbound is fully closed between junction 34 at Ewloe and junction 35 at Dobshill this weekend, from 8pm on Friday 6 March until 6am on Monday 9 March.

The closure is part of ongoing concrete carriageway resurfacing works on the route.

Traffic is being diverted via the A494, A5117 and A41, with drivers rejoining the A55 at junction 39.

Diversions are signposted in advance.

The eastbound on-slip at junction 35 Dobshill is also closed on the same schedule.

Two westbound on-slips on the A494 at St Davids, including the slip towards the A55 at Ewloe, are closed throughout the works.

The works involve removing worn surfacing, repairing underlying concrete slabs, and replacing gullies and manholes before the road is resurfaced.

The scheme is part of a wider £25m Welsh Government programme targeting resurfacing and pothole prevention on the Strategic Road Network.

The works are scheduled to continue until 21 March.

Full diversion information is available on the Traffic Wales website.
