Your old Christmas tree could help local hospice care

Nightingale House Hospice has announced the return of its annual Christmas Tree Collection, offering residents in CH postcode areas a simple way to recycle their real Christmas trees while supporting local hospice care.
From Friday 9 January to Tuesday 13 January 2026, households can book for their Christmas tree to be collected from outside their home by hospice teams.
Supporters are asked to make a donation, with all funds raised going directly towards patient care and services.
The scheme is available across selected CH, LL and SY postcodes. All collected trees will be responsibly disposed of after collection.
Elise Jackson, Events and Campaigns Manager at Nightingale House Hospice, said: “This is a fantastic way for people to dispose of their real Christmas tree, while also giving something back.”
“Our team of volunteers is always very excited to help us with this campaign, and it is a wonderful way for people in the community to support a local charity.”
“Every donation made through the Christmas Tree Collection helps us continue providing compassionate care, comfort and support to patients and their loved ones when they need it most.”
Bookings are now open and can be made online via bit.ly/Tree-NHH.
Trees should be left in a clearly visible location by 7am on the day of collection, with all decorations, lights and stands removed.
Nightingale House Hospice provides specialist palliative care for people across Flintshire, Wrexham, East Denbighshire, Barmouth and nearby border towns including Oswestry and Whitchurch.
Fundraising activities such as the Christmas Tree Collection play a key role in helping the hospice continue delivering services for patients and families across the region.
