Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

The Met Office yellow warning for snow and ice came into force at 12pm today (Monday) and remains active until 11am on Tuesday.

Forecasters warn that icy conditions are expected to cause disruption across parts of North Wales through Monday evening and into Tuesday morning.

Scattered sleet and snow showers are expected to move across Wales, with Flintshire likely to see brief wintry bursts followed by widespread icy patches overnight.

The Met Office says the greatest risk comes overnight as temperatures fall below freezing, creating slippery roads and pavements.

A spokesperson said the warning represents a “medium likelihood but low overall impact”, meaning disruption is possible but not expected to be severe or widespread.
