A new police-run service has been launched to make it easier for people to report cyber crime and fraud across Wales, England and Northern Ireland.

From this week, anyone looking to report such offences will be directed to Report Fraud, which replaces the long-running Action Fraud system.

The new service can be accessed online at reportfraud.police.uk or by calling 0300 123 2040.

According to the Home Office, Report Fraud offers a clearer and simpler way for victims to tell police about suspected fraud and online crime, with straightforward guidance on what to report, how information will be used, and where to access further victim support.

The launch marks the beginning of a wider overhaul aimed at strengthening the national response to cyber crime and improving intelligence sharing across police forces and agencies.

Officials say the change will help develop a more complete picture of online and financial crime, enabling faster and more targeted investigations.

A full public launch of Report Fraud is planned for January 2026.

Anyone in Deeside or across North Wales who believes they have been a victim of fraud or cyber crime is advised to use the new Report Fraud website or phone number rather than the former Action Fraud service.
