Mold Alexandra FC’s ambition to develop women and girls’ football has received a major boost thanks to a new sponsorship deal.

The partnership with local firm Outwrite PR supports the club’s long-term plan to grow its women and girls’ section from grassroots level to competitive football, starting with its 20-strong Girls Fun Football team.

Aimed at school years one to six, the sponsorship has provided the team with new training shirts, water bottles, and drawstring bags featuring the company’s logo. The funds have also helped purchase essential training equipment including numbered disc markers, cones, carry bags, and first aid kits.

As part of the agreement, Outwrite PR’s backing will also support the next generation of coaches. Teenagers aged 16 and over will gain hands-on experience with the club and have the opportunity to earn Football Association of Wales (FAW) coaching qualifications.

Coach Joe Couchman said: “Having initially run Girls Fun Football for school years one to three only, Outwrite’s backing has been crucial in helping us open our sessions up to more youngsters, which is brilliant.

“The new kit also marks an important step in making sure the girls feel they are truly part of a team, something that’s needed to encourage them to continue playing and training with us.

“As we continue to grow, I’m hoping we’ll naturally start to see the formation of teams with those who wish to take it more competitively, so we can enter The North East Wales FA (NEWFA) system.

“Without the support, none of this would have been possible, so I’m very thankful for all the help we’ve received.”

Outwrite PR managing director Anthony Bullick said: “This is about more than just providing new training kit and gear; this is about powering a passionate and ambitious vision to see more women and girls in and around Mold get involved in sports.

“Whether that be through coaching, training, or playing competitively, it’s great to contribute to this long-term mission, and we look forward to seeing how the club will continue to evolve going forwards.”

Mold Alexandra FC’s men’s first team plays in the Cymru North division, and the club maintains an active youth programme across all age groups.
