Road closures and new roadworks across Flintshire from this week

Two road closures are starting in Flintshire this week, with more than a dozen new sets of temporary traffic controls also coming into effect across the county.

Drury Lane in Drury, near Buckley, is closed from today for gas works being carried out by Wales and West Utilities.

The closure is scheduled to remain in place until 15 May.

A second road closure begins on Wednesday on Old Hope Road, between its junction with the A5104 at Penymynydd, where Hafren Dyfrdwy is carrying out water utility works.

That closure runs until 5 May.

A third long-running closure on Factory Pool Lane in Mold, where Anwyl Construction is carrying out development work, continues until March 2027.

On Bagillt Road in Bagillt, Wales and West Utilities gas works are starting today with three-way temporary traffic lights in place.

Those lights are due to stay until 18 May.

Bryn Mawr Road in Holywell also gets three-way lights today, with SPEN Network Plus carrying out electrical works there until 7 April.

In Ewloe, stop-and-go controls go up on Green Lane today for water utility works lasting until 7 April, while three-way temporary lights are in place on Old Mold Road (B5127) for highways maintenance work until Thursday.

Gwernaffield Road in Mold has two-way lights from today until 10 April for construction work.

Chester Street in Flint has stop-and-go controls today and tomorrow for water works.

Park Avenue in Mold has two-way lights today and tomorrow, with Dwr Cymru Welsh Water carrying out utility work there.

The B5125 Village Road at Northop Hall has three-way lights from today until Thursday for electrical works by SPEN Network Plus.

Beech Road in Drury, Buckley, which has had three-way lights in place since last Friday following emergency works by OConnor Utilities, is due to clear by Thursday.

Several sets of works already under way in Flintshire continue this week.

Church Street and Coleshill Street in Flint (A5119) have four-way lights in place for Flintshire County Council highways maintenance until 17 April.

Denbigh Road in Mold has two-way lights for Dwr Cymru Welsh Water works until 13 April.

Chester Road West in Shotton (B5129) continues to have four-way temporary lights in place for active travel improvement works being carried out by Flintshire County Council Streetscene.

Those are not due to lift until 12 September.

St Davids Park Spine Road in Ewloe retains three-way lights for electrical works until 3 April, as does Alderberry Road in Hawarden.

Fern Close and Windsor Drive in Flint both have three-way lights for Wales and West Utilities gas works until 3 April.

Nant Mawr Road in Buckley gets two-way lights from Wednesday until 3 April for water works.

From Wednesday, Church Road in Broughton and the A541 between Ddol Bach junction and B5121 Nannerch both have temporary controls starting, for water and BT works respectively.

Mold Road in Buckley and Snowdon Avenue in Bryn-y-Baal, Mold, both have BT works starting with temporary lights from Wednesday.
