It’s been a busy day for officers from Flintshire North as police carried out a day of action targeting drug supply across the area.

Supported by colleagues from Merseyside Police, local officers conducted a series of operations designed to disrupt the distribution of drugs.

A number of people were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply, while several others were stop-searched and found in possession of drugs.

Those individuals were dealt with accordingly, police said.

Among the team’s most effective members was PD Polly, affectionately nicknamed “the pocket rocket.”

The small but agile police dog proved her worth, successfully locating drugs and cash during the operation.

Flintshire North officers said a full round-up with arrest and seizure figures will be shared soon, but for now they praised Polly’s sharp nose and determination.

“You can’t hide from PD Polly,” they wrote. “Her size means she can get into any space — and she did.”

Residents were thanked for their support, with officers signing off:

“Have a wonderful evening and stay safe.”
