Police appeal following an attempted robbery at Queensferry Greggs

Police are appealing for information following an attempted robbery at a bakery in Queensferry earlier today.

Officers from North Wales Police attended a branch of Greggs on Station Road shortly after 7.30am this morning, Monday 5 January, after receiving reports of an attempted robbery.

Police said the man involved left the premises before officers arrived.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish his identity.

Acting Inspector Thomas Matthews said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the man after he left Greggs to contact us.

“I am also appealing to anyone who was in the area this morning and may have footage of the man to contact us.

“There will continue to be an increased police presence in the area for reassurance purposes.”
