Police appeal after fatal collision in Saughall

Officers are appealing for information following a fatal collision in Saughall, near Chester.
At around 12.19pm on Monday 1 December, police received reports of a collision in Meadows Lane involving a yellow Ford KA that had collided with a house.
The driver of the car, a 78-year-old woman, and the passenger, a 90-year-old woman, were both taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police confirmed that the 90-year-old passenger has since died. Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. The driver remains in hospital at this time.
Detective Sergeant Russell Sime said:
“This is an incredibly sad incident, and we have been working to establish the exact circumstances of what took place.
“To aid us, we are asking anyone who witnessed what happened and has not already spoken to police to get in touch with us.
“The same goes for anyone who may have any relevant dashcam, CCTV or video doorbell footage.
