Mold is preparing for one of its biggest festive events of the year as more than 105 stalls line the town centre on Sunday 7 December.

Stalls will be set up across the High Street, Daniel Owen Square, Earl Road and the precinct, with additional traders inside the Daniel Owen Centre and Mold Indoor Market. More than 55 shops, cafés and restaurants are also expected to open for the day.

A giant Snowglobe will be located in Daniel Owen Square from 10am to 4pm, with last entry at 3.30pm. Entry costs a minimum donation of £1 per person, payable by cash or card, with proceeds supporting the Mayor’s Charity Appeal.

A range of popular children’s characters, including Bluey and Bingo, Minnie and Mickey Mouse, Minions Kevin and Bob, Stitch and Angel, will be present around the market during the day.

Daniel Owen Square will host live music from 10am to 4.30pm, with performances from Mold Town Concert Band, Northop Band, Holywell Brass Band, The Rock Choir, Gwernymynydd Panto Cast and Ava Dokk-Olsen.

Family entertainer Just the Trick Magic will also perform for visitors queuing for the Snowglobe.

The annual Festive Gonk Hunt begins on Friday 5 December.

Participants are asked to find ten Gonks hidden in town centre businesses for a chance to win £50 of vouchers to spend locally.

Entry forms will be available from the Town Council gazebo on Sunday or by emailing [email protected]

Earl Road and the High Street will be closed to traffic from 6am on Sunday.
