Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after collision in Saltney Ferry

A Saltney Ferry road was closed for nearly six hours on Tuesday evening as accident investigators examined the scene of a serious collision involving a car and motorbike.
The collision happened at 5pm on the B5129 Flint Road near Cop House Farm, the road which runs behind the Airbus factory was closed in both directions following the accident.
A male motorcyclist was flown to Stoke University Hospital with serious but non life-threatening, the driver of the car was unhurt.
Police are appealing for anyone with any information or may have witnessed anything to ring them on 101 quoting U075094.
It is the second serious motorcycle collision in Deeside in as many days.
On Monday evening a male was seriously injured in Connah’s Quay after a collision with a car.
Emergency services were called just before 8.30pm last night after reports of a collision between a Renault Megane and a skyjet motorcycle.
Golftyn Lane was closed as police and paramedics dealt with the accident.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said:
“We were called at around 8.20pm last night, Monday 23 May, to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorcyclist.”
“We sent an emergency ambulance to the scene, and a male motorcyclist was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital.”
