A yellow weather warning for fog has been issued for Flintshire, with the Met Office warning it could lead to travel disruption.

The warning is in place from late tonight into tomorrow morning, with fog expected to develop overnight before gradually clearing later in the day.

According to the Met Office, areas of fog will form initially during Tuesday night, with patches of dense fog developing that may lead to difficult driving conditions.

While fog is expected to clear from some areas before dawn, it may be slower to lift in places, leading to reduced visibility during the morning.

The Met Office says people in Flintshire may experience slower journey times, with possible delays to bus and train services. There is also a chance of disruption to flights.

Drivers are being advised to allow extra time for journeys, check road conditions before setting off and ensure fog lights are working properly. Public transport users are advised to check for updates from their travel providers.

The Met Office said weather warnings can change and people should keep up to date with the latest local forecast.

The yellow warning means the likelihood of disruption is considered medium, with a low overall impact expected.
