Liverpool man jailed after ignoring Mold court ban

A 34-year-old man has been jailed for breaching a restraining order designed to protect his former partner.
Lee Roberts, of Higher Lane, Liverpool, admitted attending his ex-partner’s home in Mold on two occasions in November last year, despite a court order preventing him from doing so.
At Mold Crown Court on Thursday, 8 January, Roberts was sentenced to 14 months in prison.
He had previously been handed a lifetime restraining order in July 2024 to protect the victim and her mother, banning him from contacting them or visiting any address where he believed they might be.
Despite this, Roberts continued to make unwanted contact with both individuals, leading to the activation of a suspended sentence.
After being released from prison, he again visited his former partner’s home in breach of the order.
Sergeant Kerry Nash said: “Roberts showed blatant disregard for the restraining order by repeatedly making unwanted contact with his ex-partner.
“Restraining orders exist to shield individuals from harm – violating them is a serious offence.
“This was a distressing ordeal for the victim, and I hope today’s outcome offers her some measure of reassurance.”
North Wales Police said they remain committed to tackling all forms of violence against women and girls under Operation Unite.
