Job opportunities available at Arriva’s bus driver recruitment event

An information event aimed at supporting individuals interested in a career as a bus driver will take place next week.
Organised by Careers Wales and the Working Wales service, in partnership with Arriva Bus, the session will take place at the Careers Wales centre in Queensferry, where attendees can learn more about bus driver vacancies at Arriva’s Wrexham and Chester depots.
Booking is essential via Eventbrite, with eight places available on each session.
Event details
- Date: Thursday 15 January 2026
- Time: 11am – 2pm (six bookable timeslots: 11am, 11.30am, 12pm, 12.30pm, 1pm, 1.30pm)
- Location: Queensferry Careers Wales Centre, 46 Station Road, Queensferry, Flintshire, CH5 1SX
During the event, attendees will be able to meet with an Arriva instructor and receive information on roles, training and career progression within the industry. There will also be the chance to find out about current vacancies and be considered for a follow-up interview.
Careers Wales staff will be available throughout the event to provide free employability support in a one-to-one setting, or to offer a follow-up appointment.

- Full car licence held for 12+ months.
- No more than six points on licence and no previous driving bans.
Beth Dockrill, team manager at Careers Wales, said: “We’re delighted to partner with Arriva Bus to host this event in our Queensferry centre. It’s a fantastic opportunity to find out more about local jobs and get tailored careers support.”
Neil Atherton, PCV instructor at Arriva, added: “At Arriva, we pride ourselves on teamwork and providing exceptional customer service, and I look forward to meeting people who share these values.”
