‘Horrific incident’ leaves 41-year-old with multiple facial fractures after attack in Chester

Cheshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked and left with multiple facial injuries in Chester city centre in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The incident happened at around 2.30am on Sunday 29 March on Foregate Street, near Boots and McDonald’s.
A 41-year-old man was walking home through the area when he was attacked by three unknown people, who are believed to have fled the scene on foot.
The victim sustained multiple facial fractures, a broken nose, eye socket and jaw joint as a result of the assault.
Detective Constable Laura Irwin said:
“This horrific incident has left the victim considerably shaken and with multiple injuries that will now require hospital treatment.
“As part of our enquiries into this incident, we are asking anyone with any information or has any useful CCTV or dashcam footage to please contact us.
“From early enquiries, we also believe that there will have been a number of witnesses who saw the assault occur. I would like to ask that they, or anyone else with further information about the assault, to please get in touch.”
