North Wales Police say a driver was stopped on a North Flintshire dual carriageway after merging into the path of a marked police vehicle.

The incident was highlighted in a social media post by the force, shared as a road safety reminder to drivers using dual carriageways.

In the post, North Flintshire Police said: “When driving on the dual carriageway, look to the right before merging into the path of another vehicle.”

They added: “If you merge without looking you might cause the police car in that lane to slam on.”

According to the force, officers stopped the vehicle shortly afterwards.

They said: “Then they’ll pull you over, and discover that you don’t, and haven’t ever had a driving licence.”

Police confirmed that traffic offence reports were issued and the vehicle was seized.
