Festive fun at Deeside Leisure Centre this weekend

Deeside Leisure Centre will host another weekend of festive activity as part of its Winter Wonderland programme, with live Christmas carols and a visit from the Deeside Round Table Santa Float.
Suzy’s Ukulele Band will perform from 1.30pm on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 December to welcome visitors and raise money for Marie Curie.
Sue Griffith chose the charity in recognition of the support she received during her cancer recovery, giving the performances a personal and local significance.
The band will appear on most weekends throughout December.
The Deeside Round Table Santa Float will stop at the centre from 10am to 12pm on Sunday 7 December, meeting families, collecting donations for local causes and bringing extra Christmas cheer to the rink.
The new 2025 float offers families the chance to see Santa even if they are not on the usual route this year.
Families can enjoy public skating from £9 per person, browse Christmas market stalls and festive treats, and explore the inflatable park and snow themed Winter Wonderland setting.
Charlotte Lewis, Marketing Manager at Gwella, said: “Winter Wonderland has already been incredibly well received, and adding these community elements creates something special for families. Suzy’s Ulekele Band performing for a cause that matters to her, combined with the visit from the Deeside Round Table Santa Float, brings a genuine sense of local spirit to the event.”
