Easter Trail and museum reopening bring new season to Greenfield Valley Heritage Park

Greenfield Valley Museum and Visitor Centre reopens for the 2026 season today, Saturday, 28 March, with a refurbished visitor centre and a new interactive exhibit funded by Welsh Government Cultural Priorities Capital.
The visitor centre at Greenfield Valley Heritage Park has been updated over winter with design features drawing on the industrial history of the valley, including the mills, workshops and water-powered machinery that operated on the site.
The new museum exhibit focuses on water wheels and how flowing water generated power for industry.
It is a hands-on display allowing visitors to engage with the mechanics of waterpower rather than read about it.
The exhibit was funded through Welsh Government Cultural Priorities Capital.

From the same date, an Easter Trail will run across the heritage park until 12 April.
Trail sheets cost £4 each and guide participants around the park to find hidden clues, with a chocolate prize for those who complete the route.
The trail is available between 10.30am and 3.30pm and does not require pre-booking.
It is not included in museum admission or annual passes, as it is an income-generating activity for Greenfield Valley Trust.
Greenfield Valley Trust is the charity that runs the heritage park in partnership with Flintshire County Council.
