North Flintshire police respond to 76 callouts over festive period

North Wales Police officers in the North Flintshire area responded to 76 calls for service between Christmas Day and Boxing Day, with 22 classed as priority incidents requiring an immediate response.
According to an update shared by NWP North Flintshire, 11 arrests were made over the festive period.
These included six for assault, four of which were domestic-related, and one for assaulting a police officer.
Other arrests included one for domestic-related criminal damage, one for driving while unfit through drink or drugs, one for threats to kill, one for burglary, and one for public order offences.
Police said five people remain in custody following the arrests.
Between 25 and 26 December, officers attended 11 domestic incidents, six concern-for-safety reports and four incidents of anti-social behaviour.
Ten of the reported matters have so far been recorded as crimes, with 36 further reports requiring written updates.
A police spokesperson added that while a burglary had been reported during the review period, it was linked to individuals known to one another and there were no wider concerns for the community.
Officers have also confirmed they are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault at The Broad Oak Pub, Connah’s Quay.
The incident occurred at around 7.30pm on 24 December and involved a man in his 20s who sustained serious injuries.
A man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have seen or heard anything that could assist the investigation.
