Appeal after BMW stolen from driveway in Hawarden

North Wales Police are appealing for information and CCTV footage after a BMW 520 was stolen from a driveway in the Hawarden.
The theft happened sometime between 11pm on Monday 8 December and 4am on Tuesday 9 December.
Officers have already carried out house-to-house enquiries but believe some residents may not yet have been spoken to.
Police are asking anyone living nearby to check CCTV or Ring doorbell footage recorded between those times for any sightings of people or vehicles in the area.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the investigating officer via email at [email protected], quoting reference 25001003730.
As part of the appeal, officers are also reminding residents about keyless car theft prevention and how to protect vehicles from opportunist criminals.
Police recommend drivers of keyless entry vehicles use an RFID wallet or box to block the key signal and keep fobs away from doors and windows. Additional physical deterrents such as steering locks are also advised.
A spokesperson said motorists should always lock their vehicle, even when parked on a driveway, and check all windows and sunroofs are closed.
It is illegal to leave a vehicle running unattended while warming up or de-icing, and doing so may invalidate insurance cover if the car is stolen.
Drivers are also urged to:
Keep car keys out of sight and away from letterboxes.
Use Faraday pouches to block keyless entry signals.
Fit additional security such as immobilisers or steering locks.
Always double-check vehicles have locked properly before leaving.
