Airbus secures new 30-jet order from Chinese leasing company

China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited (CALC) has signed a firm order with Airbus for 30 A320neo Family aircraft as it moves to meet growing demand from its airline customers.
The deal marks the Hong Kong-based lessor’s fifth order with Airbus, bringing the total number of aircraft it has ordered from the manufacturer to 282. Of these, 203 are from the A320neo Family.
Mike Poon, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of CALC, said: “Our enduring partnership with Airbus has been central to CALC’s growth. This latest order reflects our shared vision for innovation and sustainable aviation. We are proud to grow alongside Airbus and to continue providing our airline customers worldwide with high-value, modern aircraft solutions.”
Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus Executive Vice President Sales for Commercial Aircraft, said: “CALC has been a long-time valued partner of Airbus with its first order placed in 2012, and it’s a privilege to see another repeat order. CALC’s deep understanding of the market and what its customers demand is a solid endorsement of the A320neo Family. This commitment reinforces their strength as a lessor with the most efficient, versatile, and in-demand single-aisle aircraft for their customers.”
The A320 Family is the world’s most popular single-aisle aircraft series, with more than 19,000 orders worldwide. The aircraft provide at least 20 per cent fuel savings and CO₂ reductions compared with previous-generation models.
Airbus says all A320 Family aircraft are currently certified to operate with up to 50 per cent Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), and it aims for its full fleet to be capable of operating on 100 per cent SAF by 2030.
The A320 Family includes the larger A321neo, which offers extended range and capacity for airlines seeking to operate longer routes with lower fuel use.
The latest order continues Airbus’s strong global sales performance into 2026, reinforcing demand for fuel-efficient aircraft across the leasing and airline markets.
The wings for all A320 Family aircraft, including those in this order, are designed and assembled at Airbus’s Broughton site in Flintshire before being transported to final assembly lines in Toulouse, Hamburg, Mobile and Tianjin.
