Weather warnings in place today with heavy rain forecast

Weather warnings are in place again today as heavy rain is forecast to hit parts of Flintshire.

The Met Office warn that heavy thundery showers will develop across the region today.

Showers will move slowly across Flintshire, Wrexham, Denbighshire, Conwy, Gwynedd and the Isle of Anglesey with the possibility of localised flooding and disruption to travel, lightning could be an additional hazard.

“As with most recent days, temperatures will rise, triggering some heavy downpours. These may locally produce 15 to 25 mm of rainfall in an hour, bringing the risk of flooding, especially if affecting urban areas.”
