A Cheshire-based digital marketing agency is celebrating 12-months of offering free support and coaching to a variety of small businesses across the North West.

Since the beginning of the first UK-wide lockdown last year, Cheshire Cat Marketing – a close-knit, woman-led agency based in Northwich – have been helping SMEs through the pandemic by supporting them to innovate and adapt to the ‘new normal’.

The company is a member of West Cheshire and North Wales Chamber of Commerce – the leading organisation representing the business community across the whole of West Cheshire and North Wales.

They also have links to Chester and Warrington where they support local businesses with all areas of marketing, such as SEO and content as well as website design and social media.

During the first lockdown, Rhiannon Birch, Cheshire Cat Marketing’s Co-Founder and Head of Creative, says she felt ‘very fortunate’ compared to other business owners and, along with her team, decided to start offering their advice, support and guidance to other small businesses owners.

She said: “As a small business ourselves, we know how hard the lockdowns and pandemic have hit companies, but thankfully when the first lockdown hit my partner and I had been saving up to get married, so we decided to invest into our agency instead so we could support other businesses throughout this incredibly difficult and uncertain time.

“As we have an in-house team of marketing experts who all specialise in different fields, we weren’t in a position to fully take advantage of the furlough scheme and decided to try to spread some positivity and community spirit instead.”

Cheshire Cat Marketing have also helped to support multiple businesses and also assisted a newly formed local food bank to get established and spread the word of their work.

They say their community spirit has ‘not gone unnoticed’ and that they are now going from ‘strength to strength’, welcoming six new team members this year alone already.
