Deeside based Thrislington Cubicles designer and manufacturer of toilet cubicles has been bought by a US company for an undisclosed sum.

Thrislington which is based on Prince William Avenue in Sandycroft employs more than 60 staff and had a reported turnover of nearly £9m in 2016.

The firm has been turning out commercial products since the 1960’s and has won multiple design awards.

Their products have been installed in prestigious projects around the world including Google’s Dublin HQ, Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi and the Broad Museum, Los Angeles

In a statement, a spokesperson for California based Bobrick Washroom Equipment said:

“Bobrick pleased to confirm the acquisition of Thrislington Cubicles Limited.

Thrislington products will continue to be manufactured at its UK facility with the current management team in place.

The business shall operate as a separate division of Bobrick, with the combined business focused on developing new products and innovations.

Bobrick is excited about the acquisition and committed to support the Thrislington brand.

On this basis, you should witness no change to the specification and customer process that has served the business successfully for the last 50 years.”

Perthshire based entrepreneur and Thrislington owner Simon Howie said;

“Thrislington has been trading extremely well and the new owners embraced the global reach of its products.

Bobrick were quick to acknowledge the depth of talent and the quality of the IP in the business and, as such, a deal was struck very quickly.

Bobrick is the right buyer for Thrislington. This is a strategic purchase for them and I am delighted that they have committed to keeping Thrislington’s base in the UK and to growing and developing the business.”
