Roadworks across Flintshire this week: closures and traffic lights affecting routes across the county

A number of road closures and temporary traffic lights are in place across Flintshire this week, affecting routes in Shotton, Buckley, Connah’s Quay, Holywell, Flint, Mold and surrounding areas.

The following works are recorded on Flintshire County Council’s roadworks bulletin for the week ending 26 April 2026.

Drury Lane in Drury, Buckley is closed for gas works by Wales and West Utilities until 15 May.

Old Hope Road, from its junction with Kinnerton Road to the A5104 junction at Penymynydd, is closed for water works by Hafren Dyfrdwy until 5 May.

Charmleys Lane in Shotton is closed until 24 April for active travel improvement works being carried out by Flintshire County Council.

Black Brook in Sychdyn, Mold is closed until 23 April for electrical works by SPEN.

Bramley Lane in Higher Kinnerton is closed until 23 April for BT works by MJ Quinn.

Lleprog Lane, from its junction with Lygan Y Wern in Pentre Halkyn, is closed until 24 April for electrical works by Morrison Energy Services.

Temporary traffic lights are in place on Holway Road in Holywell until 8 May, where Wales and West Utilities is carrying out gas works.

Bagillt Road in Bagillt has three-way temporary lights in place until 18 May for gas works by Wales and West Utilities.

Cornist Road in Flint has three-way temporary lights in place until 24 April for gas works by Wales and West Utilities.

Normanby Drive in Connah’s Quay has three-way temporary lights until 26 April for electrical works by OConnor Utilities.

Richmond Road in Connah’s Quay has three-way temporary lights until 23 April for water works by DCWW.

Holywell Road in Ewloe has two-way temporary lights from 20 April until 1 May for water works by Core Highways.

Chester Road West in Shotton continues to have four-way temporary lights in place for active travel improvement works, with those controls in place until September 2026.

Factory Pool Lane in Mold remains closed for construction work by Anwyl Construction, with that closure running until March 2027.
