Reports of delays on the A494 due to an earlier collision

Update: Traffic Wales say the collision has been cleared – there are still long delays on the eastbound A55 – A494 as traffic clears.

Earlier Report: There are reports of delays on the A494 this morning due to a two vehicle collision.

Traffic Wales say:

‘Road traffic collision #A494 Eastbound Aston hill. Traffic already queueing back to #A55 J33A. expect delays. Right lane currently closed’

Traffic is queuing back along the A494 to the A55 near Northop Hall with around three miles of standing traffic.

Latest traffic report states:

‘One lane closed and queueing traffic due to accident on A494 Northbound from A55 J34 (Ewloe, Ewloe Green) to A550 (Queensferry / Sandycroft Turn Off, Queensferry). Congestion to J33a. Lane two (Of two) is closed.’
