Principal’s Charity Dinner Raises over £7,500 for North East Wales Hospices
Coleg Cambria’s annual Charity Dinner hosted by Principal and Chief Executive, David Jones was another huge success this year, raising an impressive sum of over £7,500 for the college’s adopted charity of the year, North East Wales Hospices (Nightingale House Hospice, St. Kentigern and Hope House).
The event, which took place earlier this month, proved to be an excellent and enjoyable evening with over 200 people attending. After a moving vote of thanks from a North East Wales Hospices representative, guest speaker, Dean Saunders entertained guests with stories from his football career.
Coffee specialists, Rijo42 were this year’s Gold sponsors of the Charity Dinner.

The fund-raising dinner was followed by a raffle and auction of prizes donated from organisations including Skye Marquees Ltd, The Port of Mostyn Ltd, St.Kentigern, Nightingale House, Hope House/Ty Gobaith, Maria’s Pictures and Coleg Cambria.
Coleg Cambria Principal and Chief Executive, David Jones said:
“We are very pleased that over £7,000 was raised for the North East Wales hospices at our annual charity dinner. It was a great team effort, with staff and students from across our sites all involved in the planning and organisation, persuading companies to attend and donate, catering and hospitality, fund raising, and even managing the sound system at the event. It was an excellent evening, and bringing together the collective resources and talents of Coleg Cambria made it better than ever.”
