The attacker has defaced the Taith website’s main page with a protest message against the intention of some UK officials to ban Muslim girls and young women from wearing veils (hijab) in public places.

In addition to the Taith website, the hacker has also targeted eight other websites belonging to various UK companies, including a model agency, a car service firm, and a couple of inns.

In each case, the attacker claimed to have deleted their databases.

As of 4pm Monday the http://taith.gov.uk/ site was still down
