Deeside Taekwondo students celebrate black belt success.

More success for Deeside Taekwondo recently with six students earning highly coveted black belt qualifications at a recent grading.

Three of the clubs students also earned second-degree black belts.

Harri Wood aged 8, Tom Morgan 8, Kyle Morris 10, Chloe Hibbert 10, Elena Morgan 10 and Dylan Harris 13 all achieved first-degree black belts.

Jake aged 13, holly Sim 16 and Jane Walker 26 all achieved second-degree black belts.

All the students have been taught by Darren Richardson who’s been teaching Taekwondo in Deeside for 25 years.

Darren who won the accolade ‘Flintshire coach of the year’  also teaches in schools around the county and works closely Flintshire run Activ8.

There are now eleven Taekwondo classes run by Darren including sessions at Deeside Leisure Centre, Hawarden High School and Connah’s Quay High school he has just opened a new club at Buckley Elfed High School.
