Deeside based Anwyl Homes has partnered with Nofio Clwyd, the Connah’s Quay-based top class performance swimming squad, by providing all swimmers with branded training tops.

Established for almost four years, the Nofio Clwyd performance centre currently has a total of 32 swimmers, aged between 11 and 20 years old.

Nofio Clwyd works closely with four affiliated swimming clubs in Flintshire; Mold, Buckley, Flint and Connah’s Quay, who feed swimmers of a certain calibre to the performance centre.

Once selected, these talented swimmers receive high quality coaching by Nofio Clwyd. Through the execution of carefully planned training programmes, which focus on improving skills and developing faster as a swimmer in a competitive environment, the squad works hard and regularly competes in county, national and even international level competitions.

Mathew Anwyl, Housing Managing Director at Anwyl Homes, comments: “We were really impressed with Nofio Clwyd and what the performance centre has achieved since it started up just a few years ago. The coaching it provides is second-to-none and it is incredible to see a group of like-minded, talented swimmers from across Flintshire perfect their skills in the water.

“As a company we are committed to supporting the local community and are thrilled to have provided the swimmers at Nofio Clwyd with practical yet professional looking training tops; perfect for the squad to wear when competing.”

Simon Morgan, Chair of Nofio Clwyd, comments: “The support and sponsorship from local businesses is invaluable to Nofio Clwyd and we are delighted to have Anwyl Homes involved.

“We are committed to providing the very best coaching for our swimmers, helping them realise their full potential and achieve their goals. The coaches and the squad train hard every week so that we can compete in the highest level competitions, and the training tops kindly donated by Anwyl Homes will ensure the squad looks professional at these events, as well as enhance the image of Nofio Clwyd.

“With the Welsh and British Nationals taking place in April, the training tops will certainly be put to good use very soon by the swimmers involved.”
