Collision in Treuddyn – Man airlifted to hospital with serious injuries

A man has been airlifted to hospital this morning, Thursday July 9 following a collision between two cars near Treuddyn.

Four people were taken to hospital including two young children after the crash on the A5104 – the Llandegla turning for Treuddyn.

Two fire engines from Wrexham attended the scene to assist freeing the casualties from cars.

The Welsh Ambulance Service say they received a call 07.40am this morning to reports of a serious collision.

They said;

“We responded with two Rapid Response Vehicles, four Emergency Ambulances, and an Air Ambulance.

“One adult male has been conveyed by Air Ambulance to University of North Staffordshire Hospital, Stoke with serious injuries.

“An adult female has been conveyed to the Maelor Hospital, Wrexham with non-life threatening injuries along with two young children who have been conveyed for check-ups.”

Anybody who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 101 quoting reference number S101150.
