Collision in Treuddyn – Man airlifted to hospital with serious injuries

A man has been airlifted to hospital this morning, Thursday July 9 following a collision between two cars near Treuddyn. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

Four people were taken to hospital including two young children after the crash on the A5104 – the Llandegla turning for Treuddyn. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

Two fire engines from Wrexham attended the scene to assist freeing the casualties from cars. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

The Welsh Ambulance Service say they received a call 07.40am this morning to reports of a serious collision. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

They said; ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

“We responded with two Rapid Response Vehicles, four Emergency Ambulances, and an Air Ambulance. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

“One adult male has been conveyed by Air Ambulance to University of North Staffordshire Hospital, Stoke with serious injuries. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

“An adult female has been conveyed to the Maelor Hospital, Wrexham with non-life threatening injuries along with two young children who have been conveyed for check-ups.” ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​

Anybody who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 101 quoting reference number S101150. ‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌​
