British Transport Police appeal for info after attempted bike theft at Prestatyn station.
British Transport Police have also released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident at Prestatyn Station, which took place around 1.15pm on Wednesday, 6 August.
Investigating officer PC Neal Lindskog said:
“Two men entered Prestatyn station just before 1pm and loitered for a short while before approaching the cycle rack.
“One of the men then proceeded to cut the lock off one of the bikes and attempted to board a train with it. As luck would have it, the owner was getting off the train at that exact moment and recognised his bike.
“He immediately challenged the man and managed to reclaim his bike before the would-be thief ran off the station.
“Enquiries have been ongoing and I am today able to release CCTV images of a man I would like to identify and speak to, as I believe he may have key information in relation to this incident.”
Can you identify the man pictured? Do you know his current whereabouts?
